FAQ

Do you offer in-person sessions?
I don’t. My clients sometimes appreciate being able to have therapy in a safe, comfortable space at home, and I have found that virtual sessions are more accessible for me. I have no plans to return to in-person therapy at this time.
Do you take insurance?
No, but I can provide superbills for you to submit for out-of-network coverage. I also take HSA/FSA cards. This Reimbursify tool can help you figure out what out-of-network coverage you may be eligible for.

What is your session fee?
$175 for 50- to 55-minute sessions.
Where are you located?
From my Minneapolis-based therapy practice, I offer virtual therapy to folks throughout Minnesota.
How do I contact you?

You can send me a message through my contact form or email me at augustin@augustinkendalltherapy.com. You can also text or call at (612) 367-6967.

Do you do evening sessions?
No, I only have daytime availability.
Do you do CBT?

No. I practice from a bottom-up perspective, where we attend to emotions and somatic experiences. CBT and other cognitive and/or behavioral treatments are top-down, which means they work with thoughts first and theorize that thinking differently will change your emotional experiences.

I use modalities like Internal Family Systems therapy, Brainspotting therapy, and other somatic and experiential practices.

Who do you work with?
I work with adult individuals. I do not see couples or teens.
Can I swear in sessions?
Absolutely! I will.
Can I talk about sex?
Yes. No topic is off-limits with me, and I’m comfortable talking about anything. Whatever deep, dark secrets you’re carrying, I’m ready to hear them.
What’s the point of life?

What a great question. Let’s get more specific here: what’s the point of your life? You get some say in this, even if it feels like you haven’t in the past. You’re going to have to come to therapy to answer this; it’s too complicated for an FAQ page.
